My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Sri Lanka | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
Photography holds a very important part in my life. My first photographic experience was during family holidays when I was taking landscape photos. As an adult, another passion started to blossom in my mind, the one of travelling and becoming familiar with the unknown, the strange.
Nowadays, these hobbies make an explosive combination, working as the most powerful chemical reaction. The state of travelling, meeting new places and peoples with different cultures, while capturing these moments in my camera, tends to be my everyday life. My photos seem to show the reality of diverse ways of living while at the same time excite the curiosity and imagination.
As far as the competition of N.G. is concerned, the mentorship opportunity by Jason Edwards was the reason that triggered me to take part in. Mentoring by him looks like the right key in order to enhance and expand my knowledge of photography and broaden my horizons. As an admirer of the Inuit culture, I am excited with the idea of travelling to Greenland and have the opportunity to see the unfriendly nature of the glacier and the habits through my lens. By this mentorship, the virus of photography will be totally spread inside me.
