The long way home After 3 years in the UK we're off back home to NZ, but not before attempting to rid ourselves of the dreaded travel lurgy.

Yeah!..finally the day has arrived. Tommorow Vien and I start our 8 month trip around Europe and Asia. We're a few days late setting off but now everythings been sold, shipped and packed so there's no turning back. The build up was busy but we've had a good week with Ran (my brother) and have piled on the calories in preparation of living off cheese and tomato baguettes!Yummy!

We'll use this journal to keep in contact with you all as often as we can..you can't get rid of us that easy!!

Hey you two,

Wow! You've got quite the itinery there! Have loads of fun, which I'm sure you will! Just remember to take a break at times, travelling can be full on and it's ok to take days off and not do anything but laze around. You don't have to see it all. I find that having days off really makes me appreciate what I see more! Oh I'm so jealous, you are heading to some exciting destinations!

I think it's a little drastic that just because Chelsea won nothing of note last season (and even failed to life the Community Shield!?) that you have decided to run back to NZ with your tail between your legs under the smoke-screen of a trip around the World!... sigh :)

As you may have guessed I too am being visited by the Green-eyed monster.

Seriously have a fantastic time the both of you and keep in touch.

Hey, i had a quick look at your plan and have seen i will be in Rome the same time you are! i'm going with family for a weekend to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday. i know your dates may vary still but if you are there anytime between 23rd-25th Nov, let me know and i'll try to find you for a drink...or 2 :-)

Finally going home then Sharan?! WoW what will the UK do without you?!!!
I'm sure you will both enjoy yourselves immensly (SP?) on your round the world trip (not 80 days like will fog then ?:P ). Keep up with the txt and the photo's....for those of us who will never get to go around the world, we should at least be able to see it in pictures :)
