I wanted to show my audiences that although everyone has the right to experience and celebrate our worlds most majestic and beautiful places, we have a responsibility to understand the effects that we impose on the local people, good or bad.
On this trek I was traveling with other filmmakers, however this film was all my own. I was able to use the members of the team that been to Peru before as well as met a lot of amazing local people along the way.
The most challenging part of the trip was the altitude, coming from sea level to a Mt environment can be tricky. My ambition as a filmmaker on this project was to accurately display how tourism can shape a country.
