The simple thatched roof of Yelagiri is an epitome of abundant hospitality and a generous disposition of its humble folk. A gorgeous native belle retreated into her cosy abode to fetch us some crystal pure drinking water, leaving her front door ajar.

Good Morning never sounded sweeter. The Geese in the foothills of Yelagiri, a remote hill station in South India, have the most rejuvenating cry. This pair seems totally in sync- in mind, body and spirit, even as they prepare to welcome the nomads into their village.

The village was adorned with Jackfruits, the largest tree-borne fruits in the world. I discover that the wood from these trees are used to make the traditional musical instrument of India, the Veena. The Nature’s music that filled every ounce of the village and its forests, reinforced the symbolic power of this majestic tree.
