MY FAIR LADY, THE MOVIE, IS 55 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR. For Connie’s — my own fair lady — birthday today (and, no, I wouldn't dare tell which one) we went to see Audrey and Rex on the big screen, one of those Turner Classics shown the way they were intended to be seen. It was loverly and we can’t stop humming the tunes.
Joel, Elsie, Corrine and Tony
We spent a wonderful afternoon with two of John’s high school teachers and their wives. We saw Joel and Elsie here in Florida two years ago but John hadn’t seen his soccer coach Tony since he left NJ. While they seemed so much older when we were in school we are, surprisingly all of an age today.
Black & White Warbler Mixed bag at McDill
We also have been visiting many of the same birding hotspots but we’re a month earlier and the water level is much higher than in 2016 so the birding is different. Connie also discovered a good spot for shore birds on McDill AFB that we can access with our military IDs.
