My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am Sebastian from Argentina. I have traveled and lived in many countries for the last two years. I am fascinated by observing and seeing the world in all its differences and similarities. Through photography I'm learning to see beyond the superficial appearance of things. Things move and change all the time, and with my camera I get to capture the VERY MOMENT that would be lost if I had never pressed the button. What fascinates me is that this captured instant remains and can be contemplated forever.

During my travels, I gained a great respect for the people I was photographing. Some pictures show “raw truth”. They really reveal who they are. Beauty for me is this authenticity they show. I feel it’s not necessary to hide anything because people and things are absolutely extraordinary the way they are.

Why should I be chosen? I yearn to learn and take as many photos as I can and to develop myself to the fullest. This is a new discovery for me and what I have learned about myself and from the people and their surroundings is fascinating.
Photography is just the excuse, the key, to get to know people, their stories and ideas, who they really are, and to share my view with the world.
