My Scholarship entry - Nowhere left to go
Palestine | Friday, November 14, 2014 | 5 photos
I’m a 27 years old photojournalist student from Denmark. I have a high love for the outdoor and adventures and have for many years combined my interest in climbing and alpinism with my passion for photography. I love to be able to pass on experiences and stories through photography.
The same passion fuels my journalistic approach to photography that I have ventured into during last years. Therefore, did I sought out the story about a Danish veteran soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress and slept with him in his isolated, home-made shelter in a Danish forest. Therefore, did I live with the Bedoiuns on the West Bank and documented their difficult life. Therefore, did I trek for days through swamp and endless forests in Patagonia to capture the athletes exhausted glances during one of the world’s hardest adventure races. I want my photos to inspire, surprise and move the recipients and I believe a good photo is made up of what is in the frame and not what is done in post-processing.
I love adventures and new experiences and I’m used to sleeping in a small tent and climbing mountains with my camera. I think I will be the perfect fellow on a wild assignment in Peru with Jason.
