Abu Khamis helps his daughters with the Arabic homework for the next day. The family lives in one of the small villages that are at risk of demolition.

The Bedouins have traditionally lived a pastural lifestyle taking their herds of goats and sheep into the desert to graze. The animals are still a very important part of the life of many Bedouin families.

Sulieman and Tiger plays on the hill behind their Bedouin village while Ali plays a game on his cell phone. In the background is one of Israel’s largest settlements, Ma’ale Adumim. The boys have never been in the settlement – it is forbidden to the inhabitants of the Bedouin communities.
