John and Connie are a young-ish retired couple from Colorado who like independent travel.

So many retirees wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives.  We like to travel.  And we like to give something back to the countries we visit. So whenever we can we combine the two. 

You don't have to be wealthy nor do you need any special skills.  Only a desire to do something worthwhile and a tollerance willingness to expand your horizons.

This is the story of our six months in Uganda as volunteers with the Jane Goodall Institute.
