When clean water is so sparse the luxury of washing clothes in clean water is simply not an option. This lady and her child wash the family clothes at the village water supply.

In blistering heat and humidity these young girls carry commodities from their villages across the Nile to sell in the markets. The cross - A symbol of hope? The bottles - A symbol of survival!

Uganda spawns one of the world’s largest fresh water sources yet
the struggle for clean water remains one of the daily tasks of upmost importance. Every day children skip school to line the roads and scream for empty bottles to build up their family stores of the liquid necessity.
