Wow it's been a while. So much has happened since I left Argentina. What a life!
So BA now holds a special place in my heart. I had moments in BA where I felt the comforts of home, which hasn't really happened anywhere else. But BA is special to me because of it's energy. It has that kind of magical feel to it that only very special places have. It's going on the list along with NYC (obvioulsy), Venice, Paris, and old Jerusalem. So far those and now BA are my top 5 most magical cities.
So my last week in BA was great. I met a lot of fun people at the hostel, and went out a few nights. I got to fully appreciate the nightlife. BA is pretty much the NY of SA. It's full of life at all hours. I love that. But that means it's full of people, which sometimes gets overwhelming, much like NY. There's plenty to do, and there's hardly ever a moment of silence.
I said my goodbye's to my "home away from home" on the last night, drinking beer and chatting with people in the hostel until 3AM when my shuttle bus came to pick me up. I was absolutely exhausted on my journey to Ecuador, but that's another story!
So my last thoughts...Argentina was good to me. I think I'll be back sometime, perhaps many years from now, to revisit the first country I stepped foot on in SA. Sweet Argentina...you are truely beautiful.
