It rained all day which meant we had no choice but to spend the day inside shops and cafes. I think my best buy was an Italien leather rainhat. So much easier to carry around than an umbrella and much classier than putting the hood on my coat over my head. Lots of French pastries were consumed during the day. So many that one would think no dinner was required. But that would be an incorrect assumption. Found a restaurant which looked good while we were out walking during the day. It was called Rouge et Noir and it was fantastic. I had the seafood chowder (it did have a fancy French name) and shared a fig tart with Lizz (I was probably at the stage where I had to admit I'd eaten enough pastries for one day).
