    This man intrigues me, and it still bothers me that I did not have the audacity to step into his space to ask him the questions that only he could answer. I mean, what would make a person sit at the side of such a busy sidewalk for an entire day (he was already there when I arrived in the city in the late morning and was still in that same spot when I made my way back to the train station in the late evening) not doing anything at all? Not reading nor begging for change, not even taking a glance at the passers-by; just sitting there furiously wrapped up in his own thoughts. What was going on inside that head of his? What has he seen of this world that has pushed him into that desolate corner? What was he hoping to find on this busy street? by: tmax Views[201] Hot pink sunnies and bleached highlights. I think this photo speaks for itself the vibrance of which the teenage bits of Perth's population proudly exhibit on any given Saturday afternoon. by: tmax Views[273] Perth city is full of alleys. To me, they evoke a sense of rest, a place to take a break from the main strip, sort of like an interlude to the drama that plays out along Hay street. In this photo, the peace and quiet of the alley was exactly what this guy needed for a break from his work as a barista in a cafe. Pointing my lens at him certainly did not help, but I just had to take the shot. by: tmax Views[1161] This couple were having a ball of a time dancing to the tunes of a Spanish quartet busking along Hay street. The great thing about this city is that, everybody does their own thing at their own time in their own way. I chose to capture this shot out-of-focus because I wanted to capture the mood of the moment rather than the clinical details of the scene. by: tmax Views[181] This is the city of Perth struggling to shed its Victorian skin for a more modern cosmopolitan suit. Pubs and coffeehouses of a generation before are losing its foothold in the city to the glass-and-metal behemoths of this age. by: tmax Views[171]
