    During recess, all of the children at the school swarmed the courtyard to play a complex game of football. by: timothybrooks Views[238] This photograph shows students walking to school while crossing in front of the town's Catholic Church. The Valley of the Pines school was founded and originally managed by the Catholic Church, but is now reliant on the support of donors and volunteers. by: timothybrooks Views[246] Students of the underfunded Valley of the Pines school in Parramos, Guatemala energetically welcomed a group of volunteers to their town. For the following week, the volunteers provided free medical aid out of a makeshift clinic within the school. by: timothybrooks Views[466] In the town's park, a young boy found a snack of a small piece of bread. The value that he showed for one small piece of bread demonstrates the extreme hunger and poverty that many children in Parramos face. by: timothybrooks Views[485] This young girl broke out crying while being treated for a sickness at the medical clinic.
