July 18 - Tuesday
Chalfont St. Giles
Happy Birthday Mary! Happy Birthday Ken!
I actually slept in -it was nice. Jon was already plugging away on the computer so after a hurried breakfast we went right to work catching up on journals and correspondence. All day I've been typing. It'll be worth it in the end - I don't want to miss anything and know that I will want to re-live it all again and again in the future.
At lunch Catherine called the sporting goods store to follow up on the poles and they called Jon back shortly thereafter saying they will fix the pole by replacing the broken part and if we brought the pole in today they should have it done by Friday. Great! That saved us some money and we have Catherine and Pam to thank for it. I stayed behind and talked a little bit with Pam about her knitting, and needle point before going back upstairs to work on the journals.
It was hotter than ever today - ice cream helped and the occasional breeze through the window. Now that we're up to date we'll be able to go to London tomorrow with a clear conscious. I told Jon that it sounded strange to say, "We're going to London tomorrow."!
We're very fortuanate.
