My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Jacarandas are abundant in Queensland and are absolutely iconic to New Farm Park, where I took this shot. Albeit scattered throughout the park, I believe these trees are hidden gems because without local knowledge of their importance to the community, these flourishing wonders may easily be overlooked by travellers as 'just another tree'.
