Caught the Mai Linh Express minibus to Chau Doc after having bakery food and drinks at a street stall opposite the bus depot. On the way a lady let us play on her IPhone Touch. We walked into town. The bus stopped at a depot in the middle of nowhere as usual. We walked through an interesting market. Stayed at Vinh Phuoc Hotel where we got a large room. Dad fell asleep so we went for a walk to get some money and stopped for some drinks including some fresh cane juice for 20 cents. For dinner we went to a vegetarian restaurant. We were surprised that they had meat on their menu but after ordering and eating two meat dishes we decided that it wasn't meat but vego meat. There was a monk eating in there and halfway through dinner there was a power outage. Whenthe power was back on and we had finished dinner, we went to an Internet cafe. It was very loud and local children were out late by themselves playing video games there. When we went back to the Hotel we booked a slow boat to Pnom Penh.
