Asher 5/4/10 An Binh - Vinh Long - Can Tho
AUSTRALIA | Sunday, 25 April 2010 | Views [606]
We had breakfast at 7:30am. Rode around the Island again and found a cemetery and some gum trees. The British couple left at 8 o'clock - he (Jules) looked like a grown up version of me! Got the boat back to Vinh Long and walked to the local bus station. The ticket from Vinh Long to Can Tho cost 60000D. Arriving at Can Tho bus station, we boarded a ferry across the river closer to town. Walked 2 k's then stopped for a cane juice. Walked another 2 k's and came to the riverside area. Found a good hotel for $13AUD. Went to a restaurant recommended by The Lonely Planet - the meal really sucked as it was all bones. For dessert we went to "Miss Donut" which was good.I had half a donut and a mini chocolate muffin. we were given free green tea. Daddy had a cheesecake (as usual) and a custard tart.
