Last bridge of day 1 of trek jsut before our homestay and over a clean and gorgeous river
We had a lift to our starting point. We walked over a bridge with more than half the planks missing and through farming areas and rice paddies. There were 100's of buffalo. Stopped to talk to a Black Hmong man with some gold dust that took 3 days to collect. After that we kept walking uphill for hours- very tiring. Finally we stopped for a nice lunch of omelette and a salad baguette. Towards the end of the day we stopped at a preschool. Then I had a vomit. When we arrived at the homestay Dad, Ni'mah and I went down the river and had fun skimming stones. Ni'mah and I loved running over the wobbly suspension bridge. We had a lovely dinner with two of each of the following: chicken stir fry, pork stir fry, choko and rice following an entree of fries! Slept on the floor on a mttress in the loft.
