I’m Terence, a 22 year old pharmacy student from Malaysia. With no knowledge in photography, everything started off 6 years ago when my dad brought home our first camera. It was love at first sight as I realized soon that it’s not just a hobby, but a lifelong passion.

Elected as the class rep did much to shape a better me, but also to climb higher. Founding of our university’s photography society last year was a big leap of faith, but my friends and I shared a common vision: ‘Photography is about getting that moment in the camera frame, not the post processing at home’.

A simple reason brought me here, to learn with passion. Being aware there are applicants who have a better photography background does not deter me, but makes me work even harder. Therefore if given a chance with my passion and dedication alongside with Jason, I would certainly get the best out of this scholarship.

Years from now, equipped with the knowledge as a pharmacist and the passion of a photographer my dream is not just to document the world through my eyes, but also to serve as a pharmacist for the needy regardless of culture, religion or race along the journey. And yes, I do hope that this is the start.
