ANAPURNA TRAIL I am now half way up the mountain trail to the school we visited and I loved how the green of the bush contrasted against the ice blue of this mountain stream as we passed it. I wanted to capture the water rushing over the rocks. What struck me about this image was the simplicity in which nature exists along side the man made stairs without either being out of place.

FISHTAIL MOUNTAIN POKHARA
Waking up in the morning is one thing, but waking up to this magical sacred mountain in your backyard is another. This rarely seen unobstructed view of fishtail mountain needed to be captured. I loved how the time of day accentuated the sharp angles of the peak , reaching 6993M, to the rugged snowline whilst the foreground remains in the shadow of the night.

VILLAGE SCHOOL CHILDREN
These children from the village school I visited in Nepal had a certain vulnerability about them that captured my heart. They all wear uniform and are able to learn with resources from other visiting nations like New Zealand which includes my college. Although they live in povery they are still like any other children – excited to be at school and eager to learn.
