    The largest heavy industry complex in Australia including steel factory, fertilizer plant and many other is proudly standing right on the doorsteps of the city. Views[322] Jetty at Bass Point Quarry is a constant reminder of the fact that heavy industry took a permanent residency in this beautiful area. Views[442] The proximity of coal mining to the main beach of the city scares away a lot of tourist but leaves not much choice for locals. And though surf beaches and national parks surrounding the area attract many tourists, local community still mainly depends on its heavy industry including coal mining for bringing income into the families.
