    The largest heavy industry complex in Australia including steel factory, fertilizer plant and many other is proudly standing right on the doorsteps of the city. by: tania Views[221] Jetty at Bass Point Quarry is a constant reminder of the fact that heavy industry took a permanent residency in this beautiful area. by: tania Views[320] The proximity of coal mining to the main beach of the city scares away a lot of tourist but leaves not much choice for locals. by: tania Views[182] City of Wollongong is situated on a pristine stretch of coastline just one hour drive south of Sydney. And though surf beaches and national parks surrounding the area attract many tourists, local community still mainly depends on its heavy industry including coal mining for bringing income into the families. by: tania Views[199]
