Looking over parapets into the landscape. I actually walked to a different section to take this. A woman was taking a photo of her mother and I asked it she'd like me to take one of the two of them. They were delighted. Then, I thought they were offering to take one of me, but they wanted a friend to take one of the 3 of us.

Another view of the rugged landscape. And, because the wall was built by different groups at different times, there are many breaks in it. The Chinese call it the long wall and some say it was renamed to encourage tourism.
