On the 5th July I flew to Sri Lanka, armed with my camera, my guidebook and Lenovo laptop, ready to start my two week adventure in Kosgoda, a village in the south west of the country.
Much of Kosgoda was destroyed in the 2004 Tsunami, which devestated hundred and thousnads of kiliometeres of coastline across South-East Asia. Even now, almost four years on, some houses in Kosgoda are still waiting to be rebuilt.
For two weeks I stayed in the Kosgoda Community Centre with other volunteers, helping to rebuild houses, teaching English to children and helping out at the turtle hatchery.
