    Most of the Rock’s upper area is covered by a nature reserve and around 250 Barbary macaques call it home. by: sunset670 Views[176] These animals are semi-wild and being the last population of such living in Europe. But more of their species are found in Morocco and Algeria. by: sunset670 Views[212] The monkeys have been looked after by the Gibraltar Ornithological and Natural History Society and medical care is provided by the Gibraltar Veterinary Clinic. Every day they get a fresh water, vegetables, fruit and seeds as supplement to natural food resources.
