Aspiration: A sign at the school grounds. Stating the aspirations of the community - Education is the key - escape route from poverty.

The Facilities: Pit Latrines. On the left are the pit latrines, which we also used as bathrooms. As they had been recently built we were the first to use them. On the right are the older latrines which were no longer in use. Pit Latrines are used in this area, as in many other rural areas in Zimbabwe.

My Classroom: this is one of the classrooms - pre-refurbishment by the AE team. Most of the classrooms did not have furniture - just a table for the teacher and the students learn, write and read from the floor.
