Your City is my Playground is a story of brotherhood and camaraderie covering the recent fad in crane hoping. The story covers the adventure of two friends in their search of the perfect city vantage point. Bound by no rules or laws these two friends dare to break into construction sites with one goal in mind, to climb to the highest point on the crane to enjoy the city as if it were their own. This Photo series takes you through the risks and rewards of climbing cranes in an urban environment. Ultimately showcasing how dangerous it can be, yet how rewarding.

Growing up in Thunder Bay Ontario I spent much of my childhood exploring the wilderness with friends. Fishing and hunting adventures became our weekend get away, at first we thought it was the sport of fishing and hunting that was so addicting. But soon it became much more than that. It quickly became our escape from reality, our portal to a more natural life. No phones, no reception, no fridges or fast food, it was basic a bit rough at times but much more natural. We had each other and Mother Nature and that seemed to be all we needed.

At the age of 18 I fell in love with photography and the idea of showing people what they may never get to see. It became about capturing images and telling stories and creating dynamic photo's that stimulated and puzzled the mind, I wanted to push the boundaries and explore places that only few have seen or touched. I wanted to take these experiences and share them with the world as the idea of sitting behind a desk haunts me. I’m passionate, patient, adventurous, and driven all while remaining calculated. I would like to use my photography to take myself to the end of the world and back. Exploring all that Mother Nature has to offer as well as different cultures and lifestyles. I believe there is a far more natural way of living than this city life I’ve become accustomed to, and I want to explore that through my photography.

What drives me to take a better a photo is a story that captures my attention and more importantly my heart. It becomes an opportunity to discover, to learn, to elaborate, and to educate. If a picture is worth a thousand words then what is to become of those thousand words without a picture? A photo becomes so much more when its combined with a story, appealing to our emotions it can capture us, put us in that moment, place, or time. Whether it be a glorious emotion or a depressing one. Every story needs imagery and creating the most vivid compelling image to connect the viewer with the subject is what compels me to take a better photo.
