Marbled Velvet Gecko (Oedura marmorata) Desert rocky outcrops (islands in the sand) sometimes have some jewels. The reward of a late night spot-lighting, the Marbled Velvet Gecko has not been recorded in this region.

Desert Spinifex. A big contrast from a city, the desert holds a majesty of it's own. preceived to be dead and a wasteland it contains a large and diverse habitat and fauna species. With the help of Indigenous people who are so happy being in country, identification of the fauna is made much easier. They don't have to see the animal, they know what has been there just by the remaining tracks.

Stimpson's Python. (Antaresia stimsoni) Living in such a remote area, this Python, classed as vulnerable, has probably never seen a human before, tasting the air, it's trying to figure out what I am. (Who is observing who?).
