NYE in NYC

USA | Monday, 1 January 2007 | Views [299]

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Two thousand and seven, apparently the year of the wild pig. I was talking to a Japanese house Removalist who told me this insightful information, explaining that 07 is the year to go for it, or as he said ‘charge’. Pretty much just like a wild pig in the outback.... Although every local from Brooklyn told us NOT to do Times Square our ‘Tourist Alter-Ego’ took over and at midnight we watched the ball drop with over 1 million people squished like sardines going CRAZY! The atmosphere was rad, the energy even knarlier! Just like anywhere in the world, New Years celebrations are a time to become complete strangers best friends. Walking the streets of New York wishing everyone a ‘Happy New Year’ and dancing in the street with people we will probably never see again. Taking pictures (like the one above) and having random people jump in, and its because they can, everyone is family. The party went on until early morning until we could no longer keep our eyelids open. (So we found these terrible touristy ‘2007 glasses’ on the ground and wore them to cover up the tiredness). Everyone was exhausted and 5AM we hit the hay. An Amazing night of smiles, stupidity and stoke. Once again HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone around the world. Make 2007 the neatest year everrr.
