I wonder whether the boy attends school. In a remote area in Srilanka, small boys like him do not have the money even to buy footwear. They help their parents by carrying buckets of water to fill up their water barrels (yeah barrels, not tanks) from nearby streams, cleaning the house, running on small errands, etc.
