    Tibet5 – Small but strong. Like those giant “darchen” (flag poles),Tibetan women have always occupied strong positions and played important roles in tradition and in society. Although petite and more quiet than their male counterparts, several of Tibet’s famous Buddhist practitioners are women and most of the road workers across the plateau are female. by: speck_deyul Views[826] Tibet4 – Between 2 worlds. According Tibetan Buddhism, when a person dies, they enter the “intermediate state” in the ghost world in a ghost body and then might reborn as another human being unless they achieve Nirvana. As we took a break to take picture at one the passes, there were a black silhouette walking slowly but surely toward our truck from afar, there were no house nearby except for the ones at the bottom of the opposite mountain. If her house is there, i hope she has good shoes! by: speck_deyul Views[345] Tibet2 – Yak is her best friend. In Tibet, yaks are everywhere and do many things.They work hard on the fields, they transport people from one mountain to another, their skins & feather protect people from extreme weather, their meat taste good, their fat replaces candles in temples and on top of that they are good tourist attraction! by: speck_deyul Views[647] Tibet1 - Fearless. Mountains are her playground, clouds are her weather forecast, this nomad woman seems to be in perfect harmony with nature at “the roof of the world”. by: speck_deyul Views[375]
