Wonderlust

I found these amazingly unbelievably cheap tickets to Guatemala City two days ago, bought them, and now the fun of getting ready!  The itinerary is still being considered, but I think I might be sorely disappointed if I do not see Tikal. Towns with cobblestone streets also sound appealing. Churches with animal sacrifices to ancient Mayan gods on the stairs is just too wonderful of a thought to miss. Jungle...yes, a jungle would be delightful to behold. And the infamous chicken buses packed with sweaty bodies and animals. These are the thoughts of Guatemala that have tickled at my imagination so far. More updates to come as I prepare for my first major out of the country trip (the first of many, I hope!).
