The ability to quietly stare, almost hidden, at the life unfolding itself. That's what I was also struck by on my return to the South of Italy.
And who better than a child could do that? Although seeming to be slightly sad, she was actually looking at a little dog playing on the ferry boat carrying us to Marettimo. Amazed by the puppy waving his tail.
