What do you use photography for? Is it to capture a unique moment, to remind ourselves of an occasion for when our memory starts to fade, to educate and inform the world of issues/problems/events/records. Photography is used in multiple ways for all kinds of people, but for me, I use it for all of the above. I am an amateur photographer hoping to one day find my break and shoot that one image that will make people stop and stare. My name is Sophie Turnbull and I am a self-taught photographer, with a small assistance from a few basic university subjects I undertook whilst completing my major in Film Production. I have a huge passion for travel and wildlife and want to share with the world how amazing our world is and its right under our feet! But this mightn’t be the case for long.. As the world is expanding, our culture is changing and some of our most ancient and precious ruins are changing too. Being apart of this once in a lifetime opportunity will allow me to grow and expand on my passion, where I can hopefully capture parts of Peru people don’t know about, to educate the world and share the life of the Persian people.
