Scooby Dooby Doo Where are you?

Hey everyone,
Well, we only have 3 more days in Australia - the 20 days went so fast. We leave for the airport on Thursday night for a 12.25am flight to Bangkok for our 2 night stopover before our 12 days in Vietnam. Not too sure if, when or where we will have internet access so you may be waiting a while for my next update. Getting pretty excited about going somewhere totally new and different - also excited about our stay in the hotel in Bangkok. I’m looking forward to trying to find a great fake watch to replace the one currently super-glued in place on my wrist.
Ol and I stayed on the Gold Coast last Thursday until Sunday. On Friday we went to Movie World for the day with Mark and Paul (Mark's dad). The day we went was great as it was sunny but not too hot, and it wasn't very busy, though it is the school holidays so there were many annoying gaggles of giggling school girls (A+ in alliteration for me). First we went on the Batman motion master which was incredibly cheesy, crap and FULL of screaming 12 year olds. Rainbow's End has a better motion master.
Then Ol took out a mortgage to buy us lunch (his joke). Then we queued up for 20 minutes for the Scooby Coaster. This was my favourite ride. It is all in the dark, as if in a haunted castle, and it starts off like a boring ghost train. It takes your cart into a lift and up a level and then it drops you backwards into a big dip and into a massive, dark room with laser lighting. Then the cart turns around and takes you on a few S-shaped bends really fast and dips up and down and because you can hardly see you don't know where you are going and you feel like you a going to fall out. It was fun.
Then we went on the log flume and queued for about a minute. The log flume also surprises you by dropping you backwards. So, being smarties we sat at the back to avoid getting wet and got soaked straight away with the backwards drop. When we went down the last massive drop we ended up pretty wet both front and back.
Then we went on the Lethal Weapon rollercoaster. I was pretty nervous before this one as you sit on a seat with your legs hanging down and, as they like to inform you beforehand, you go upside down 5 times. The ride was pretty good but because we have small heads it bashed against the side of the seat harness a million times during the ride and we felt like we had just done a round with Mike Tyson (also Ol's joke). It also left me dizzy for about 15 minutes after.
Then we went on the Superman Escape rollercoaster. I was less nervous for this one, God knows why. It starts off inside, then slows right down before it launches you off at 4.2 Gs, reaching 100km/hr in 2 seconds and sending you high into the sky and down again.
After that Ol and Mark went on the Bat Drop which launches you 60 metres in the air and straight back down again. I, or, in particular, my stomach, wussed out of this ride. We then went and saw the Police Academy stunt show which had some good stunts in it. I was easily gullible enough to believe that the 'random' member of the audience chosen wasn't part of the show, even though their witty exchange was way too smooth, until he 'accidentally' fell off the roof. Anyway, after one more ride on the Scooby Coaster, I had had a pretty good day and we went back to Mark and Paul's.
The rest of the weekend we didn't do much - went to the pub one night, watched as everyone attempted to fix the dishwasher, froze on the day it reached only 19 degrees, saw a Filipino bought copy of 300, and laughed when Ol questioned where Leonadis got the Granny Smith apple to munch on after battle from the totally barren landscape. However, 300 was not the worst movie we saw, that was Snakes on a Plane, which is a terrible movie. I also read most of Scar Tissue, the Anthony Kiedis biography, played with Diva, fed the ducks and got furious with the crows again.
We have been hanging out in Greenbank where Ol is driving me crazy trying to learn how to whistle with 2 fingers and playing the blues on his new harmonica. We are heading back up to the Sunshine Coast today to stay until we go to the airport.
Hope everyone is good, will update as soon as I can.
