Travel Photography Scholarship 2013

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

The herds on Exmoor roam over the 300 square mile National Park conservation grazing. The importance of what the people in the local communities are trying to preserve is rarely herd of outside of the area. This particular herd has been overseen by the Wallace family, for a Century. Many breed experts believe these animals bare the closest possible resemblance to the primitive wild horse, first recorded in the UK in 70,000 BC. Soldiers poached them during the 1st and 2nd World Wars for their meet.
