SokoCat-My life in Korea Hi, I'm Cat currently living and working in South Korea. Having just finished university I was warned by my friends that 'real life' would take about a year to start. I therefore decided I would do something different, travel and see the world.

Day 2 Daegu (haha that rhymes...)

SOUTH KOREA | Thursday, 12 November 2009 | Views [479]

I have lived on my own (i.e without my mum) for the past 4 years, I am 22 years old and yet I am immensley proud of the fact today I bought some bread and some pasta sauce.

Despite REALLY not wanting to get up this morning (well I say morning, it was midday actually) I decided I would be brave and go out for a walk. Not very far but just so I could say that I had been outside. So after a banana and some scrambled eggs washed down with some interesting tasting diet coke I got myself dressed and off I went. I walked the opposite way to yesterday and went twice round the block. On my way round I found another food shop. I wasnt going to go in but the lady smiled at me. Seeing as though there is only so much plain spaghetti you can eat I wandered in. I walked around, said hello to the lady in the shop (In Korean 'Annyong Haseyo' and I found pasta sauce then got overly excited that there was sliced bread. Tomorrow I am going to be tested to see if I have Swine Flu, and what would you know? I have developed a cold over night. Surely they will be able to tell the difference between flu and a cold? Saying that I did feel pretty rough when I woke up, lets put it down to jetlag, drink lots of fluids and hope for the best.
