The Plan

Exactly one week left until we fly out of Tokyo and into the life we've been waiting to live for oh so long. Finished my last day of work today and things are underway... it's beginning to feel like we are actually leaving. We have officially sent all of the records! The cherry blossoms are early this year (just for us!) and our last weekend will be spent drinking with friends at a few hanami.
For the record, the plan (today) is to spend at least 5 days in Beijing with our friends Dan, Nitasha & Albert, then head to Xian for a week or so. From there we'll fly to Yunan to spend the rest of our 1 month visa roaming the hillsides and watching chinese opera. Then we'll be onto Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. May 29th we fly out to my mother's wedding in Invermere, BC. 2 weeks in Canada then back to Bangkok. June is all about beaching it in Thailand and hopefully meeting up with Paul and Jessica. July through October will be reserved for India. We'd like to be settled back in Toronto before the cold weather sets in. We're looking forward to a stop-over in London to see what the fuss is all about. See you in China!
