Hola All!
Yesterday's adventure leaving Aguas Calientes created a long day as hotel check-out time in Peru is 9:00 AM, and our train wasn't until 6:00 PM, so we did alot of walking, waiting, and a bit of last minute shopping. We arrived Cuzco late evening and fell into bed like sleepy puppies!
Today we returned our rental hiking equipment, sauntered through the last of our shopping, bid farewell to other Peru Challenge volunteers, and had a last toast and final goodbyes with our Host Family. Tomorrow we leave for Lima for one night and resting up as much as possible in preparation for our journey home.
Both Sandra and Carolyn should be home this evening.
So I'll close for now with a 2009 Namaste moment in Cuzco, Peru! And thoughts of our upcoming homeward bound journey -- we're eager for the comforts of home!
