Hola! On this eve prior to our leaving Portland, our energies are "bouncing off the walls" with excitement -- I am definitely reminded of a child's joy on Christmas Eve -- the anticipation, eagerness, mystery, and magic... This last week has been filled daily with best wishes from Family, Friends, and even strangers. The last couple of days, phone calls and emails have rushed back and forth between Sandra, Carolyn, Ben, and I with various questions and last-minute updates. The four of us met last weekend to distribute various items so that we'll all stay within the 50 pound luggage limits -- "Can you fit this in? Are you taking this or that?" I felt like a teenager preparing for a "dream date!"

Be assured, I'll update as soon as possible after we've arrived in Lima (arrival is on Friday, but I may not be fully functioning until Saturday ~ LOL). FYI -- Lima is 3 hours ahead of us here.
