A bold new adventure

The Bean project has gone Live.

The Bean project has gone Live.

Three years ago World Nomads was born, and Christy was our very first customer for her trip through Vietnam. A veteran world nomad last year she came to work for us and has helped us develop these adventure journals into a powerful community and raise over $70,000 for communities in which we all travel as part of our Footprints program.

Children. They change everything.

"Jemima Charlie arrived at 9:45pm after a considerable 20 hour struggle with some help from forceps among aother things. Obviously she is the most beautiful girl in the world, just like her mum. We are all battered but fine and could not be happier. My daughter is a babe. Sam."

The waiting is over. Now you'll have to get used to sleepless night, the vomiting on the new settee, the tantrum's when she's tired and the impossible volume of nappies. You'll also have to get used to squeals of delight, the sense of family, and the engagement of local families when you next travel. Enjoy.

So from all of us at World Nomads and from world nomads everywhere, we'd like to offer Christy and Sam our congratulations on the start of their bold new adventure, and we look forward to many more travels adventures with Jemima in tow. I'd also like to dedicate our Footprints program to the children of World Nomads everywhere, particularly Jemima, Hunter, McKenzie, Darcy, Maria, Joel, Imogen, Beatrix, Kai and Riu.

May they live in a better world.
