Jesus on a Mule Procession

Karin and I were lucky enough to witness the Palm Sunday Procession through streets of San Miguel de Allende. Starting bright and early at 9am a large group of Mexicans and few Americans encroached on an adventure lasting 2 hours. The procession started at Parque de Jaurez and colorfully traveled up Calle Sollano all the way to the Jardin (Central Square). You will notice on the sight that many of the doors that lined Calle Sollano were decorated with vibrant colors and palms, many of which belonged to retired Americanos. The photos you see here were ones that we took while watching this brilliant display of faith, culture, color, and of course music and JESUS CHRITSO himself..which was interesting because he was on a DONKEY.
