Dance, a little bit...

INDIA | Saturday, 2 August 2008 | Views [1153] | Comments [14]

The jugde(she) in her infinite wisdom has not denied the order a second time. She has, however, pronounced that she will look at granting the order on the 30th of August after reading the precedent cases more closely. This is good news if you are a masochist. As a sadist I think she just wants to ...well...you know... do a bit of that.

So we return to Australia sans Ankita, but with more hope in our hearts for a return in September, than we had but five minutes ago.

A fire cracker ending, no. Shooting stars on a warm soft raining night -yeah - I'll take that. We must now decide if we see the girl again before we depart or leave it as an open book. Spine faced upward and pages splayed wide on a messy coffee table, fag ends wasted in the make shift saucer ashtray and glasses perilously close to empty (or is that full),crowded to the edge on all sides.

The days will track across a skittish winter feeling and we will dance to an almost definite beat. Foxtrot, waltz, bollywood or tango? Lets keep dancing - we'll make it up as we go.

That is good news but so sorry you won't be bringing your little girl home and i am sorry but it stinks. I just don't understand all the waiting they put us through snd how this is in the interest of the child.
Still we have to get back on the rollercoaster and go on, everyone tells me its so worth the wait and once you have your little ones all the hurt is gone, love to all sarah

It is good news - not fantastic news, but good news. Twenty-seven days in a lifetime. Go and see her - that's why you are there. I'd want to know you were coming back for me. It is very disappointing so put a little joy in your lives.

LOL Lyn xx

I'm really glad is not a NO but it is really S**T that you and Ankita have to wait this long before you are united. It is ridiculous that all this time has to pass, it is a waste for all concerned.
Sending lots of love and will hopefully see you next weekend.

Yaaaaaaay. The news is getting better! The glass is definitely filling up and before you know it the four will be five, not forgetting the bean-bag toting Lucia. xxxx

Sometimes life sucks... but, apparantly what doesn't kill us makes us stronger (love to get my hands on the p....k who wrote that!)things happen for a reason...?
The glass IS half full. You guys are amazing and have so much support, I'm sure you will get your little girl. Safely home. Lots of love, Ranz xxxxxxx

Bugger!!! If only she could have just granted the order. At least it sounds fairly positive for 30th.

Did you take photos of Ankita when you went to the orphanage before? If not, perhaps you should go see her again so you can bring home pictures (to treasure and to pray on). Of course we will all want to see photos of your second daughter and both girls together.

Looking forward to see you 3 next week and Ankita asap.

Love and hugs, all of us

All good things come... to follow in the footsteps of other cliche ridden Sidhu's. Chin up, soldier on, god speed and here's to drinking loads of champers to celebrate the arrival of Antika in Oz. Now that really will be something to shout and dance about.

Much love,

Mon xxx

Well thank the goodness for no NO's. Go on and read up judge-lady, long and hard, and try picking up just a bit of the sense and heart the commonest of us seem to have no problem understanding. Come home you lot and we'll all start cooking up the biggest wave of what's good and right to roll over that lady on the 30th. See the girl, tell her you love her and you'll be back soon to take her home. If she sees you again now, it'll only be a little bit longer between her second and third drinks when that glass becomes a bucket she can swim in! Love you all, George x

Have been thinking of you guys all weekend, much love sent from The Grand Bowral last night at Paul and Phoeb's farewell. Now busy conjuring up precedents in those chunky old law books that say "Sure. No worries. Streamline case for second child yes absolutely expedite (being a legal word) IMMEDIATELY!" Big fat rubber Ankita YES stamp bringin' her home. Love Veritys xx

Seems like the idea of looking at it as one month in a lifetime is quite comforting. Devastating now, but one day this will be a distant memory. Lots of love to you four.

All the feelings I am feeling are so summed up in the above messages by all your wonderful family & friends..
And all I can come up with in a very sarcastic way is "mera bharat mahan" !! as they usually put it. Stupid stupid bureaucracy. And we get told that child comes first, child's welfare is what we care abt....Yeah sure...I mean tis judge needs a bloody wake up call!
All said & done...can't wait to see ya'll back and we will celebrate Ankita's arrival in Sept in a big way :)Loads of love frm Saiful, Toongi & Rida.
