A-"Frican" Adventure

A Heartfelt Thanks

TANZANIA | Tuesday, 27 May 2008 | Views [444]

During the time I have been dreaming of and planning my trip, I have been touched by the amount of support and encouragement I have received. Daily, I think to myself how fortunate I am not only to have this opportunity, but to have the ongoing support of those closest to me as well as strangers. As I prepare to leave on a trip that I am viewing as a trip of a lifetime, I want to give thanks to those who have made this possible. This includes those who have donated financially to the Global Service Corps (the nonprofit organization who coordinates volunteer opportunities in Tanzania and elsewhere, bringing vital resources, support and information to those in greatest need) and those who have given me strength and encouragment on this journey. From my heart, THANK YOU! Below are the names of all those who contributed financially to make this trip possible, raising a total of $1,800!

Donors (in no particular order):

Joe Albert, Maurene Cronyn, Foster and Patricia Cronyn, Eric Mwitti (my inspiration), Greg Avedesian, Tonia and Matt Brown, Candace Olmstead, Dan Overgag, Aron Lum, Erik and Ashley Heiskanen, Graham Sumioka, Annie Doerring and Aaron, Scott Andrews (+ friend), Greg Cary, Russ Wirtz, Molly Wirtz (+ friend), Jonah Stinson, Callie Stinson, Beth, Alaina, Audrey, Matt Erikson, Zach Den Adel (+ friend), Elizabeth Saviteer, William Walters, Sarah Samulson, Kiyo Peterman, John Mixon, Brad Vickers, Yesan Lin, Emily Collins, Michele Karantsavelos, Amy Sellers, Ian Simpson and Ashley, Kanani Dilcher.

I apologize if I have missed anyone. Again, thank you.

With gratitude,

Shannon
