Ray & Deb's Travels We're on a home exchange to Southern France.

Sept. 14: We lunch like the French

FRANCE | Wednesday, 19 September 2012 | Views [93]

Back at our home exchange house - slept very late - and so lazy, we did what any sensible Frenchman does - we went out to lunch.

A little town of Amou near our home exchange.  Sat out on the patio and like everyone else had an 1 1/2 hour 3 course lunch with wine.  Good to be still and relax for a day.

We did stop at a Fois Gras place - this area of France is famous for its Fois Gras and while it may be politically incorrect, we bought some in jars to bring home - save for holiday entertaining, we think.

Did you know Fois Gras is now illegal in California - hard to explain this to the French, especially after we answer the inevitable question that assualt weapons and munitions are sadly yes, legal...
