Well ushuaia is a very special place. The southermost city in the world. The city is set in a grand surrounding. Tiny islands in the distant, mountains behind the city.
The first day i arrived i went on the boat tour to see the famous ¨last lighthouse¨ in ushuaia´s beagle harbor. There was a boat nearby that sunk and everyone safely exited the boat except the captain, who stayed with tradition and went down with his boat. The lighthouse was amazing, and then we went to see sea lions and penguin-like birds several little rock islands.
The next day i went on a hike with a girl from switzerland and one from AMERICA, FIRST AMERICAN I HAVE SEEN IN SOUTH AMERICA!! I was wondering if i would ever see an american. Anyways she is friggin amazing. Worked on wall street, saved loads of money, quit, and has been traveling for 2.5 YEARS!! Been nearly everywhere, i mean everywhere, her passport is like a book it´s huge. She´s been to every continent, seen everything important in the world, except moscow and morrocco. Which she will sometime for sure, anyways the hike was really good and the scenery is awesome.
I had to buy another small backpack as the one i had just was a pain to pack and the extra one gave me a little bit more convience. People are always amazed on how light i pack, which is i guess nice but its definitely not easy.
I stayed at a great hostel, even though i would find out later that my credit card was stolen. I met loads of cool people. Had great chats and beers with a guy from buenas aires, an israeli french, and 2 guys from israel. Super cool guys who i wish i could have spent a bit more time hanging out with.
