    Cape Farewell, located west of Farewell Spit and 160km from Nelson, which is the headland of South Island New Zealand. I paid my visit days before I departed to my homeland, Malaysia. I guessed it was destined, so that I could have a good farewell with New Zealand, a land full of wonders! One need days to see it, but needs a lifetime to understand it. From the moment I step out from the door (literally, the rock arch of Cape Farewell), hope to see you again in future, New Zealand. by: sean_lee Views[333] Milford Sound is a must-go place when you visit Fiordland National Park, located in South West of New Zealand. Milford Sound is a fjord and it only has few sunny days in a year as it's known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand, depends on one's luck. The sound gives a great mirror effect panoramic view. by: sean_lee Views[323] Cathedral Cove is one of the attractions on the Coromandel Peninsula in North Island New Zealand. The cathedral-shape rock arc is a symbol of Cathedral Cove. The cave and the beach was used as the tunnel through which the Pevensie children first re-enter Narnia in the movie version of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The northern region of North Island has a lot of white sandy beaches to offer, ideal place for relaxing in summer. by: sean_lee Views[340] The colorful Champagne Pool located at Waitomo New Zealand is a 700 year old explosion crater filled with hot water spring. It has steep sides and 62 metres deep. The orange colored edge contains arsenic and antimony sulphur compounds rich in minerals including gold and silver. New Zealand has a lot of volcanic wonders, such as the Tongariro National Park (where the Lord of The Ring was filmed), Lake Taupo, and Rotorua. by: sean_lee Views[243] It was evening in the Autumn, where the trees are getting ready for winter, changing themselves with yellow leaves. The beautiful scenery of Lake Tekapo is a place like Heaven on Earth. I'm lucky enough to visit this wonderful place. Lake Tekapo, the Church of Good Shepherd, mountains, golden sun rays, blue sky, clouds and the breeze were complementing each other perfectly. The emerald blue lake has a special element at the bed of the lake, called “rock dust”, which gives it nice bluish tone. It's a germ of South Island New Zealand. The rock dust is the by-product of glaciers. The nearby mountain is Mount Cook and there are a few similar lakes surrounding it. by: sean_lee Views[247]
