Looking dejected and helpless, this long tailed Macaque sits chained up beneath a hill side village in Chiang Mai.

Young locals are often intrigued (and sometimes shy) when trekkers first enter their village. It does not take long though until they are showing you their hand make slingshots or playing games with you.
