The cultural syncretism seen in Mexico is striking. You have children running around dressed in Halloween costumes asking for candy right next to their parents arranging the flowers on the tombs.

The cemeteries in Mexico vary in size and shape, but they are mostly just big spaces full of tombs pilled one very close to the other, some big, some small. On this day though, the size and the shape doesn’t not matter. They all join together to make a big gorgeous piece of land.

The flowers are set up either the night before or throughout the whole day, while family members come and have a beer, listen to music and just have a picnic with the people they once loved. The lady is arranging the flowers she has brought to make it even more beautiful.
